Extractors
The extractor hood is a device which has a fan built in to remove any unwanted cooking odours, airborne grease, condensation and heat. Extractors can be built-in to a kitchen cabinet or installed freestanding on the wall above the hob. In today’s market there are many styles to choose from.
Chimney Hood
This is a freestanding extractor and sits above the hob. Can be installed with a tall chimney cover to hide away the ducting outlet. The most widely used type of extractor due to its cost and ease of installation.
Canopy Hood
This type of extractor needs to be fitted into a wall unit. Sitting stylishly under a wall unit makes it virtually unnoticeable. Can be used as a recirculation model or duct out.
Integrated Hood
Needs to be installed between two wall units. Can be installed with a furniture door on the front to fit in seamlessly with the rest of your kitchen. The flap door opens to allow the air to be extracted.
Island Hood
Ideal for large kitchens with and island. Suspended from the ceiling modern island hoods can be eye-catching. Can be installed with a charcoal filter for recirculation or the preferred option of external ventilation.
Downdraft Extractors
This sleek extractor is integrated into the worktop and housed within the base unit below. Downdraft extractors are often used when there is no space for a traditional extractor hood.
